Ben Goldacre is a British physician, academic and science writer. He is the first Bennett Professor of Evidence-Based Medicine and directs the Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science at the University of Oxford. He helped found AllTrials and OpenTrials, initiatives seeking to make open science practices a requirement in clinical trials.

From 2003 to 2011, Goldacre wrote The Guardian’s Bad Science column.
