From Here to Eternity
From Here to Eternity explores how cultures around the world care for the dead, including Zoroastrian sky burials and Bolivian skull traditions. Illustrated by Landis Blair, it questions American funeral practices, particularly chemical embalming, and suggests that traditions allowing mourners to personally tend the deceased offer meaningful ways to confront mortality.
