Biography
James Comey is an American lawyer who served as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 2013 until his dismissal in May 2017. Earlier, he was U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York from 2002 to 2003 and United States deputy attorney general from 2003 to 2005.
After leaving the Department of Justice, Comey held general counsel positions at Lockheed Martin and Bridgewater Associates.
