Unfreedom of the Press
In Unfreedom of the Press, Levin argues that self-censorship, groupthink, selective reporting and the presentation of opinion as news undermine press freedom from within. He traces American journalism from the patriot press and openly partisan newspapers to the emergence of objectivity as an ideal, challenging contemporary claims of neutrality.
