Penguin Random House published her graphic novel Amazons, Abolitionists, and Activists in 2019, and her political nonfiction book Hood Feminism appeared in early 2020.
In Hood Feminism, Kendall examines mainstream feminism’s treatment of basic needs and the ways race, class, sexual orientation, and ability intersect with gender. She draws on her experiences of hunger, violence, and hypersexualization alongside commentary on politics, popular culture, and mental health stigma. Her essays argue that food security, education, neighborhood safety, adequate wages, and medical care belong within feminist priorities.
