Merchants of Doubt
Merchants of Doubt describes how a loosely connected group of scientists and scientific advisers with political and industry ties ran campaigns over four decades to mislead the public about established scientific knowledge. It examines smoking and lung cancer, coal smoke and acid rain, and CFCs and ozone depletion, while identifying parallels with the climate change debate.
