Luke Cooper is an African American tech entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and founder of Latimer Ventures, a Baltimore-based firm focused on early-stage enterprise technology startups and supporting Black entrepreneurs. His experience spans SaaS, mobile device repair, cybersecurity, strategic partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions. He founded Fixt, a SaaS-based mobile device repair app, raised $6.5 million in Series A funding, and sold the company to Assurant in 2020 for 11 times revenue. Earlier, he was part of the founding team at Caldwell Technology Solutions, a cybersecurity software business sold to CACI for approximately $55 million. Raised in public housing in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Cooper draws on his experience overcoming childhood poverty to mentor young founders, especially those of color. He developed Latimer House, a 60-day mini-accelerator for early-stage entrepreneurs, particularly Black and Latinx founders. His forthcoming memoir, Mud to Magic: A Black Tech Entrepreneur's Rise from Poverty to Prosperity, explores that journey and strategies for overcoming adversity.
