Rod Neuenschwander

Rod Neuenschwander works on business turnarounds and transformations, drawing on two decades of experience across multiple industries.

Rod Neuenschwander is a business turnaround strategist whose work helps founders turn organizational crisis into clear priorities, financial discipline, and decisive action. Over two decades, he has worked across industries to restructure struggling businesses, strengthen operations, and build recovery plans grounded in reality rather than wishful thinking. His experience includes an eighteen-year partnership with John Ruhlin at Giftology, partnering with founders through Ruhlin Partners, and serving as chair of the Malone University Board of Trustees. Following Ruhlin’s passing, Neuenschwander applied those same principles to Giftology’s leadership transition and recovery planning. His approach connects personal leadership with practical execution: maintain a clear mind and calm spirit, face brutal facts, simplify the economic drivers, and align the team around a plan people can actually follow. Raised on a dairy farm in Ohio’s Amish country, he credits his father’s resilience with shaping his response to adversity. Running and prayer remain central to his leadership practice. His book, From Crisis to Clarity, brings these lessons together for leaders navigating business challenges.
